Special Visiting Lecture Session

We were delighted to welcome Prof. Edwin van Teijlingen from Bournemouth University, UK, to MMIHS for a special visiting lecture session on “Public Health and Disaster Management.” The session was designed to orient and train faculty members and postgraduate students.

Prof. van Teijlingen emphasized the importance of disaster preparedness for Nepal, drawing lessons from global experiences and offering valuable practical insights to strengthen public health response systems.

The lecture was followed by an interactive discussion focused on enhancing academic collaboration in several key areas, including joint grant writing, student placements, expanded academic exchanges, joint online teaching sessions, and collaborative research activities—particularly the ongoing Nepal Federal Health System Project.
